Hello,

My original intention for creating this blog was to record anything and everything related to buying our first home. The highs and lows that came with it were all to be shared with the hope that someone might benefit from our experience.

In the beginning, it served as a therapeutic diary enabling me to articulate the many frustrations we encountered. There were quite a few who left comments sympathizing with us and sharing their own construction horror stories. These short notes gave such great comfort and reminded us that we were not alone and there are others out there who are in the same boat.

When we moved to the decorating phase, vexation turned to a feeling of excitement as the "fun" part started. But dreams of dining chairs and refrigerators all went to the wayside as my husband Earl was assigned to Singapore.

It then became the story of our rental apartment and the house back home. Though there wasn't much to report as we couldn't work on the house, and I didn't want to spend for a place that we would be in for a very short time.

We've since moved back to Manila, but this blog will continue to document where we live and what it looks like.
